2. Haze Meter Introduction
Haze is the light deviated from the incident light which is greater than 2.5 ° compared to the total transmitted light.
Transmittance is the total incident light compared to the total transmitted light.
Haze meter is designed for plastic, films, glass, LCD panel, touch screen other transparent and semi-transparent materials color, haze and transmittance measurement.
◆ Conform to ASTM and ISO standard.
◆ 3 kinds of light sources A,C and D65 for measurement.
◆ CS-720 is with powerful color measurement function, it provides all measurement indexes and light sources.
◆ Open measurement area, no limit on sample size. Vertical measurement is also available.

3. Haze Meter Instrument Structure
How to use the instrument?
◆ 0% calibration and 100% calibration
Note: If we calibrate instrument under ISO standard, the compensate port should be open (the cover should be taken off). If it is under ASTM standard, compensate port should be covered.
When 100% calibration is done, we will get incident light flux T1 and scattering light flux T3, and then save them to calculate haze and transmittance.
◆ ASTM Standard
When transmittance is measured, sample will be put on measurement aperture, blade will cover the light trap for measurement, and then we will get transmittance light flux T2.
When haze is measured, sample will be put on measurement aperture, blade will cover the light trap for measurement, we will get transmittance light flux T2. Then blade will come to the compensate port, after measure, we will get instrument and sample scattering light flux T4.
◆ISO Standard
When transmittance is measured, sample will be put on compensate port, blade will cover the light trap, then measure, we will get incident light flux T1 to replace the 100% calibration value. And then put the sample on the measurement aperture, blade position will not change, after measure, we will get the transmittance light flux T2
When haze is measured, sample will be put on measurement aperture, blade will cover the light trap, after measurement, we will get transmittance light flux T2. Then blade will come to the compensate port, after measure, we will get instrument and sample scattering light flux T4.
